Sometimes we give in

Its human nature -
trying to be strong
and actually succeeding

but only until

the candy coating
of joyful strength
slowly melts

struggling hard
against the passion
of luminous longing

  2. "the passion of luminous longing"
    love that phrase
    whether we're talking romance
    or simple existence
it is what keeps us going
    well written

  3. Burning through the protective coating hurts, but it's also when we really began to see. I love this introspection.

  4. I'd rather eat candy than have it melt. :-P

on a serious note... i guess that's why we have to control the flames of our luminous longings so we dont get burnt.
